On consoles they have backwards compatibility. Steam has its own classic battlefront 2 servers that are very active and allow servers to be modded but in order to play those servers you need to have those same mods. You also have to mess with the setting and configure all the controls personally to the controller. I do not recommend this way of playing because the controls sensitivity is really wack but if you download an external program I’m sure it would work better. I can hook up an Xbox controller to my computer so that I can play the steam version with a controller.
